About the Artist

My name is Pam aka Pammorganstudio. I began my art journey as a child. I took art lessons from Elaine Silberman. She taught out of the basement of her home. With her I was able to paint with acrylics, watercolors and oils. She didn’t teach a stroke by stroke technique. Instead, she encouraged me to experiment with color, and how I applied the paint to the paper. It was at this point that I became hooked on painting. I studied art in high school, and then went to college and got a degree in both Art and Psychology. Throughout many years of employment, I continued to work with different forms of art. Graphic arts, and various home businesses of ceramics, fabric painting and candy making are just a few examples.

As an artist, I have a passion for painting on different surfaces such as paper, canvas, wood, screen and fabric. My style is abstract and I paint intuitively. I have a wide variety of subjects: florals, animals, faces, landscapes, objects, and whimsical things. The mediums I often work with are acrylics, chalk paint, watercolors, and alcohol inks. When I create, it brings me to a place of joy and tranquility. I want my art to inspire others to feel something special.

My husband, Joe and I have been married for 34 years. I am the primary care giver to my three disabled adult children and my disabled brother who lives nearby. While their needs and challenges require constant attention, it has reignited my passion for creating art. After living in Illinois our entire life we now reside in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
