I Didn’t Know Where to Start

I didn’t have a plan.
I didn’t have the perfect setup.
I didn’t even know what I was doing most days.

But I started anyway.
Messy. Unclear. Unsure.

And here’s what I’ve learned:
Waiting until you feel ready is the fastest way to stay stuck.

Why Artists Stay Stuck Before They Even Begin

So many artists hold back because they think they need:

  • The perfect brand

  • A fully stocked studio

  • A social media strategy

  • The right equipment, followers, website, or offer

But none of that matters if you never start.
You don’t need perfection. You need momentum.

Start Where You Are—Even If It’s Messy

What if starting messy isn’t a weakness—but your superpower?
Because when you start where you are, you begin building:
✔ Trust in yourself
✔ Confidence through experience
✔ A body of work that grows with you

Your first posts might not go viral. Your first product might not sell.
But those early steps are how you find your rhythm—and your people.

You Don’t Have to Do It Alone

If you’re in that foggy place of wanting to start but not knowing how—
You’re not alone.

That’s exactly why I created the Collaborative Artisans Collective
A supportive community of artists who are figuring it out together.
Where you can take imperfect action with people who actually get it.
Where starting messy is not only welcome—it’s encouraged.

DM me if you’re ready to begin—with support, with strategy, and without all the pressure to be perfect.

Because starting messy still counts.
Starting is what matters.
